Common Questions
How Do I Apply?
There is no formal application to apply. Instead, Kerry likes to speak to each new family herself. This one-on-one method is more personal and gets at the heart of connecting the perfect pup with their future home
When Will Your Doodle Be Ready?
Puppies go home at 8 weeks! This is the perfect time for your new family member to start learning some new skills and to bond with your family. We cannot control when the moms go into heat, but we give our waitlist owners a seasonal estimate.
Why 8 Weeks?
Puppies are fully weaned and eating solid food by 8 weeks. Though some breeders like to wait longer, their mom is ready to move on and spending most (if not all) of her time away. We’ve found that by 8 weeks they are ready for 1:1 time. They’re receptive to potty training, with most of our owners reporting under 1 month to fully potty train their puppy.
What About Their Health?
They have been seen by a licensed vet. They have been vaccinated and dewormed and preventatively treated for coccidia, a common infection young puppies can get. While connecting with your vet is great, they do not need to see a vet until 12 weeks of age (for their next round of vaccines). They come with a 2-year health warranty against genetic defects.
Do We Ship?
No! We do not ship puppies. Some families have hired services to transport their puppy, others have driven or flown out themselves, but we do not ship puppies.
What is a Goldendoodle?
A goldendoodle is a golden retriever and poodle cross. Goldendoodles go by several nicknames, including: golden poos, goldie poos, or groodles. They gained popularity in North America and Australia in the mid-1990’s.
Goldendoodles combine the intuitive, people-oriented nature of retrievers and the highly-intelligent mind of poodles. They often have an allergy-friendly coat.
